What if I’ve been directed to this page because I received a spam complaint?
If you’re using confirmed double opt-in, there is no issue at all. Simply provide us with proof of a confirmed opt-in as detailed below and we will take care of the spam complaint on your behalf.
This is the only way to prove you have permission to email someone, so if you aren’t doing this and you generate complaints you are considered a “high risk” emailer by all mainstream apps and Internet Service Providers ...
And unfortunately we can no longer allow you to use any link that redirects through ClickMagick in your emails. We have no way to defend against any future spam complaints and that puts our business at risk.
In this case, we would recommend using a ClickMagick Project to track your emails – using your own domains that don’t redirect through the ClickMagick system – rather than Smart Links or Rotator Links. We can help you with that.
Either way, here’s what you need to do next …
You must respond to the email we sent you within 48 hours. If you don’t, we have no choice but to cancel your account. When responding, you have two options …
Option 1 – Provide the following proof of a confirmed double opt-in and we’ll take care of the complaint for you:
1. The timestamp of the original opt-in
2. The timestamp of the double opt-in confirmation
3. The URL where the original opt-in took place
4. The IP address of the opt-in
Note: Amazon, our service provider, often redacts the complainant’s email address. If the forwarded complaint does not contain their email, you should use the provided Message-ID to look up the message in question. If you don’t know how to do this, contact your email service provider.
Option 2 – Let us know that you cannot provide proof of a confirmed double opt-in for the complainant.
In the case of Option 2, you acknowledge and agree that you will no longer use ClickMagick Smart Links or Rotators in your emails. You are more than welcome to create a Project and use our TrueTracking platform for your email tracking.
Any further spam complaints regarding emails sent after the time and date of your email reply will be cause for immediate termination of your ClickMagick account.
