Can I add ClickMagick tracking code using Google Tag Manager?

You sure can. This is technically no different than adding the pixels or tracking code directly to your web pages.

The only problem we’ve seen with Google Tag Manager is that it’s a more complex way of adding your pixels and tracking code, and some users just mess it up. There are many ways to “screw up”, and it’s also easy to end up adding duplicate pixels or codes which can also be a problem.

You’re welcome to use Google Tag Manager. Just double-check that you’ve added everything correctly.

And if you run into problems when testing your tracking, go back and triple-check it again …

Of course, if you still can’t figure out the problem just reach out and we’re happy to help.

Note: Please note that when adding your code via GTM, the “Code Checker” in the Website Code tool will not be able to find your code since you aren’t actually adding it to the page itself. But as long as it’s set up correctly in GTM it will work fine, which you can confirm by generating a test click.
